Playing In The Music Game
I somehow got to YouTube (it’s so easy to get distracted with video, isn’t it?), and came upon this documentary of “This Music Game”, which discussed several important points about signing to a major record label.
Velvet Revolver - Messages
Soundgarden - Burden In My Hand
Spacehog - In The Meantime
I’m still catching up with work from being in Vegas last week for Pubcon, plus I’m moving (again!). I got a lot to discuss here at evolvor, but you’re just gonna have to sit tight until I get it ready! Until then, here’s another vid!
Live - Overcome

Cornell, Staley & Vedder
Check out this interview with Chris Cornell, Layne Staley and Eddie Vedder at R.I.P. Magazines 5th Anniversary show in L.A. back in 1991, where Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden all played. I wish I had a time machine…
Aerosmith - What It Takes
I haven’t put a video up by itself in a bit, and with the help of imeem, I’ve been in a mainstream, silly-good-feelin’ rock mood all weekend. Hey it could be worse (I’m usually in depressed 90’s rock grunge most of the time).
Pearl Jam - Lukin
Fishbone - Sunless Saturday
When I was like, oh, 11 I think, I remember my brother giving me some of his compact disks. I forget what the deal was, but I got to pick 3. The first two were Nirvana’s “Nevermind” and The Red Hot Chili Peppers “Blood Sugar Sex Magic” - both very popular albums of the time (and still today). The third album I chose, however, is one of the best albums I have ever owned. “The Reality of My Surroundings” by Fishbone is one of the craziest, zaniest, musically diverse (and vulgar as hell for an 11 year old) albums anyone will ever get a chance to listen to. Here’s the final track off the album.

Live - Operation Spirit (The Tyranny of Tradition)
Many never heard Live’s first album, Mental Jewelry. I didn’t actually grab it until 2004ish, and was glad I did. There’s a passion and fire in this first album that you just have to hear for yourself. Ed’s like 19 I think in this video, so young it’s weird. I couldn’t fathom being in a band at that age (although that is when I started writing lyrics so I guess it coulda happened then).
