Well, since it’s the tenth of the month, it naturally means that’s time for the monthly fix of Pearl Jam.
If you’re a member of Pearl Jam’s Ten Club, then you know the running joke about the annual Christmas single, which usually arrives to fans closer to Easter than Christmas. However, last the guys shocked us, because the single actually arrived during the right time of year.

Well, it’s the tenth of the month, which means some sort of Pearl Jam post.
The band has been quiet since they wrapped up their short tour this past summer, but the members have been keeping busy.
OK, here way go…
Eddie Vedder Announces East Coast Tour
The Pearl Jam frontman toured the west coast back in April, and he just wrapped up a east coast run with Pearl Jam. He’ll head back on the road from August 1 to August 22.
Fan Interview with Mike McCready
So, there’s this Pearl Jam superfan who got to follow the band on their little 2008 tour, which he got to blog about on Spin.
To top things off this bearded dude, whose name is Zach Newman, actually got to sit down and interview one Mike McCready before the band’s show in Mansfield on June 28. Very cool.
Pearl Jam: Madison Square Garden June 24 & 25
When Pearl Jam announced that they were doing an east coast tour, I made up my mind to go to four shows (which was all I could pretty much afford). The two shows in Camden, NJ were an obvious pick, but I was stuck for the next pair of shows. I was all about making a road trip to Boston, but when the band announced that they were playing Madsion Square Garden, it became a no brainier on where I was going to go.

I was trying real hard to avoid listening to any Pearl Jam before I see them this week, and next, but I just can’t help myself.
Pearl Jam Continue Bootleg Series For Upcoming Tour
Pearl Jam will once again offer fans bootlegs to all their shows for their upcoming tour. This year, however, the band will give fans three different options on how to snag a show.
The first option will be digital downloads from the band’s website immediately following a show. Fans can buy a MP3 version for $9.99 or a FLAC version for $14.99.
Why is Pearl Jam the Greatest?
There is no doubt in my mind that Pearl Jam is hands down the greatest American rock band…ever.

Pearl Jam Daughter tags
Many of you should know that “Daughter” appeared on Pearl Jam’s second album Vs. in 1993, which was obviously a big hit for the band.
The studio version is still great after all these years, but what’s really catchy about “Daughter” are the live versions. This is where the band likes to jam out during the end of the song by fusing some other song into it, which is known as the “Daughter tag”.
Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Flaming Lips to salute The Who
Three of the greatest alternative bands ever will honor one of the most legendary bands ever.
The event will be for VH1’s Rock Honors, which will take place on July 12 at the Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus in L.A. This will be the third year for Rock Honors, but will be the first to focus on only one band.
Pearl Jam - No Code

On August 27, 1996 Pearl Jam released their fourth studio album entitled No Code.
The album debuted at number on the Billboard 200 charts and then fell into almost obscurity. It was also the bands first album with drummer Jack Irons. However, it was, and remains, a hard album for fans to digest. The band is everywhere musically on the album. Ranging from standard straight ahead rockers like “Hail, Hail” to more worldly efforts like “Who You Are” to even a spoken track “I’m Open”.
Pearl Jam’s Self-Pollution Radio
Back on January 8, 1995 Pearl Jam took over the airwaves of hundreds of radio stations across the globe.
Pearl Jam - Rarities, B-sides, Demos
If you happen to be a Pearl Jam nut like I am then you probably want anything and everything that the guys have recorded.
Sure, the eight studio albums are great and I can’t get enough of them. But, the band has recorded so much more in their extensive career.
Pearl Jam and Politics
One thing that grinds my gears is when people tell me that they don’t like Pearl Jam nowadays because Eddie Vedder is too political. I mean if you told me that you didn’t care for his vocals, I would buy that as a valid reason. But Vedder, and the rest of the guys, have always been outspoken on their political and social views.
