Artist Sportlight: The Scenic Route
As my goal of turning on the heat here at evolvor.com begins to unfold, I’d like to finally begin introducing you to some up-and-coming artists in my world that you need to be paying attention to.
Evolvor Interviews Black Market Radio!
I have had the honor of working with BMR in promoting their new album “Better Than A Killer“, and also got the chance to do a little interview with the band as well. If you don’t know who Black Market Radio is, then you haven’t frequented my site and have been living under a rock!
John Mayer Trio - Vultures
I know, I know - it’s been almost a week since my last post. But between getting the Cureforwhatalesyou.com bus trip together, juggling too many projects, and planning for a two week trip to see my family up north, I’ve been all over the place. Luckily, I’ve had the smooth sounds of the John Mayer Trio to keep me chill and in check.
Interview With Black Market Radio & “Big Stones” Live!
Keith from BMR just sent me over to the Palestra Music Network where they did a recent interview with the band, who also preformed “Big Stones” live!
Go Buy The New Foo Fighters Album
I’m a big supporter of the Rhapsody music business model, and listen to most new music using the service. However, every now and then a band that I’m a big, huge fan of will put out a record and I’ll support the local record shop and actually buy the album. Such was the case with last week’s latest Foo Fighters release, Echos, Silence, Paitence, & Grace.
Crown Victoria - Face to Face
Just got back in town after spending the night in Dirty Jers to see two emerging local bands. I had the opportunity to shoot both sets (which ended up being 3+ hours of music, so much that I ran outta tapes!) on my soon-to-be outdated digital camera. Don’t worry, I’ll have a full production team with HD cameras in no time:)
Black Market Radio, Part Deux
Just wanted to let you know that one of my favorite new bands, Black Market Radio, just released the re-cut/re-mixed version of there debut album last Tuesday, now called “Better Than A Killer”.
A Shout Out To Our Sponsor Rhapsody
One of the problems many bloggers deal with is the nature in how they go about monetizing their sites. Many use Google Adsense as their main form of ad income, while others use affiliate marketing. In evolvor.com’s early days, we used Adsense and the banner programs they offered, which would offer “targeted” ads based on a blog post or article’s content. Targeted my ass. The ads were piss poor and made my site silly.
What You Don’t Know About Vertical Horizon
So listen up, and listen good. Vertical Horizon kicks major, major ass. But most of the world doesn’t even know why!
Most of the world only knows about Vertical horizon from their 1999 album “Everything You Want”.
Kaitlin Sweeney, I Am So Proud
If you haven’t heard about miss Kaitlin Sweeney yet, you better get your ears cleaned out, for it won’t be long before all the world will know about her. I’ve had the luxury of seeing Kaitlin perform live a few times here in Newark, and have known how much hard work see has put in to get where she has gotten to today.
