Velvet Revolver Dropped By Label, Guns N’ Roses’ ”Better”, Weiland Interview

It just wouldn’t be fun to neglect the love triangle between Velvet Revolver, Axl Rose and Scott Weiland. Let’s check in and see how everybody’s doing.

Things may not be looking too bright for the now Weiland-less Velvet Revolver. Blabbermouth is reporting that RCA has dropped VR. There are no other details right now, bit maybe because they went from pushing around 2 million copies with their debut Contraband to around 300,000 with Libertad is one obvious factor. By the way, I’m not shitting on Libertad, cause I think it’s a more solid album, but money walks. Anyways, I think Slash, Duff and Matt will be fine. Who needs a major label nowadays? Especially when You’re Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum.

Meanwhile, things are going “Better” for Axl Rose. Guns N’ Roses is now currently streaming another new track from Chinese Democracy, entitled “Better”. I’ve only listened to it once, but it is vastly different than anything else I’ve heard from the long awaited album. It’s more of a ballad, but more on the electronic side than the piano based that Axl loves. The song can defiantly grow on you. But I have a feeling that this will be the song that old G’N'R fans will bitch about and say “Axl sucks without Slash”. You can judge for yourself right here.

Finally, Scott Weiland gave an interview to LA Weekly. The interview is about six minutes long and isn’t mind blowing, but Weiland shares what’s been his muse lately and gives a little insight on the recording process of his upcoming solo album “Happy in Galoshes”. You can watch the interview below.

Chinese Democracy is sounding way “better” then I could have imagined.

VR is dead, and should probably stay dead. Although the Lenny Kravitz rumor is kinds interesting.

PS I love Scott Weiland. He is a true “artist”, you can tell by the way he answers questions!
