The STP frontman has announced the release date for his upcoming solo album, which will follow his first solo album, 1998’s 12 Bar Blues. The still untitled album will hit shelves on October 7 through Weiland’s own label, Softdrive Records.

Not to mention that it was on this day in 1776 that the Continental Congress declared independence from Great Britain, however, the Declaration of Independence wasn’t adopted until July 4. I already knew that little fun fact, seriously. So, just make your 4th of July festivities start two days earlier.
