Last May at Evolvor we dedicated the month of May to the one and only Pearl Jam. So, with their upcoming tour and all, we thought that we’d give it another shot.
I’ll still be keeping everyone up with news and all the other 90’s alternative sweetness, but just get prepared for lots of Pearl Jam (even more than usual).
I’m uber excited about this, and hopefully people we’ll get a kick out of this Pearl Jam madness.
Just to give you an idea about what I’ll be doing this month, here’s my top 5 Pearl Jam posts from last year.
Pearl Jam - MTV Unplugged (I even made Wikipedia for this post!)
Pearl Jam - The Lost Dogs of Lost Dogs
Pearl Jam and the Late Show with David Letterman
Until next time, enjoy a live 1992 performance of “Alive”.
Love the new format and title, Al!
I’m haven’t been fond of Pearl Jam in a long time. I just can’t seem to get into anything from Vitalogy on. However I was watching that Adam Sandler movie Reign O’er Me and I love the cover they did of The Who. I don’t really like the new pearl jam tunes but I still love Eddie’s voice, even though there are so many out there that try to mimic it.
What the!? The name and colors changed. When did this happen? Hmmm, the name is way more fitting, but now I’ll have to change my blogroll. Why do you want to give me more work?
I love the colors. Brown, orange, and green are the best. You got two - way to go. Also, isn’t a Pearl Jam month here just a wee bit redundant? When don’t you discuss them fully during a month?
Thanks both of you for liking the changes, it took a bit of time, but it’s all good now.
Ok, back to Pearl Jam…
Scott, you should really give them another chance. I should just sit down and make a playlist for you one day. Yeah, the cover of “Love Reign O’er Me” was sick. I never thought that anyone could cover that tune, but Pearl Jam did.
Jennifer, I figured that you could always use some more work, lol. I know a talk about Pearl Jam a lot, but I’ve been backing off a bit, besides keep checking out the site and you’ll see why it’s different.
Yesterday after I read this again, I flipped through the iPod and played Vitaology…and I was actually liking a lot of it. It’s been probably over ten years since I even thought about listening to it. I’m going to pull out no code, the last Pearl Jam Cd I bought and five it a listen.
Glad to hear that you’re digging Vitalogy. See, No Code can be tough to get into, just because I think it’s eveywhere, but still a great album. I would suggest giving Yield and the self-titled album a try.
