I recently rediscovered this gem of an album by one of the more unique bands from the 90’s.

The line-up for this year’s edition of Coachella has been announced.

I’m behind on my blogroll (as per usual), but thank Fred for pointing us to Yahoo’s new browser-based media player. Yahoo makes it very easy to point towards an mp3 file (that has been uploaded to the web obviously) and plays the file right in your browser. Just add a few lines of code and you’re all done.

A great tool to showcase some music on you’re website. Or you could spend a bunch of money to build a snazzy flash player like every other band out there does. I’d much rather spend that money marketing and advertising instead

A few months ago when Rock Band was released I mentioned how important it will be for musicians to get there tracks available as playable tracks on the game. I’ve even gone as far as contacting Harmonix to see how one goes about making this possible.

I’m sure that many artist’s check their monthly website statistics to see what kind of traffic they are getting. Hopefully they’re aware that they should pay no attention to the “hits” statistic because it doesn’t mean anything. They’re instead looking at unique visitors and how many page views they have on average. So how can they use this data to predict and plan for sales goals?

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder won a Golden Globe last night for the song “Guaranteed” from the wonderful Into The Wild soundtrack.
