2008 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival Line-Up

The line-up for this year’s edition of Coachella has been announced.

Jack Johnson and Roger Waters will headline the three day festival, which will also include several 90’s bands including Portishead, The Breeders, The Verve and Fatboy Slim.

Also on the bill are some amazing new acts ranging from the Cold War Kids, Death Cab For Cutie, My Morning Jacket, M.I.A., Rilo Kiley and The Racounters.

Coachella will take place on April 25-27 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. For a full list of the line-up check out Billboard.

In related news, some details were announced by the promoters of Coachella, AEG Live/Goldenvoice, about the first ever All Points West Festival. This festival will take place on August 8-10 at Liberty State Park here in Jersey. It’s rumored that Radiohead will headline that event.

Coachella has a pretty solid line-up, which they usually do, but I don’t think that it’s enough for me to make the trip across the country. But, if you’re a fan of Portishead and/or The Verve then it’s a must go to show, since they haven’t been here in the States in almost ten years!

As for the new festival in Jersey, it would be a bummer if Radiohead jumped on board, since it takes place the same weekend as the Vineland Music Festival. I hope Vineland can grab some equally impressive acts.
