So I get back from Vegas last week and what’s the first thing I find out? One of my favorite musicians from recent times is playing just down the street from me! “Holy poop!” was all I could say at the time.

The gentleman in question’s name is Keith Kane, the guitarist/vocals from Vertical Horizon.

I’ve discussed in the past about how many don’t realize how talented these guys are, and how Vertical Horizon has a back catalog of more acoustic-driven music then many are aware of.

Keith didn’t hold back and played a good mix of older and newer songs (including a brand new song I’ve never heard before!). Here, in no particular order, are the tracks we had the pleasure of hearing at the show.

I think I got ‘em all. In addition, those who stayed behind to chat with Keith after the show got to sing a long to “Japan”, simply because we would not let him leave without hearing it!

Keith informed me that yes, there IS going to be a new Vertical Horizon record released sometime in 2008, and to expect it during the first half of the year. If you weren’t aware, Neil Pert from Rush will appear on 3 tracks!
