Kurt Cobain Film Gets The Music of Nirvana

This makes sense, right?

I mean how can you have a film about a musician and not have their music in the film?

Anyways, Universal Studios has purchased the rights to the Charles Cross biography “Heavier Than Heaven” (which is a really good read) and the rights to Nirvana’s music. Of course Courtney Love is involved in this deal and she is also apparently going to be executive producer of the flick.

I have mixed feelings on this film. If they’re done right, these biopics can be really good, like Ray or Walk The Line; and Nirvana was the band that got me into the whole alternative scene. However, I have a feeling that Courtney Love is going to somehow ruin this and I think that we tend to place Cobain on too high of a pedestal sometimes.

I really don’t wanna see a movie about crybaby musicians who kill themselves. He’s already gets way too much love as it is, a film will just further glorify him, no? Give me a movie about Mike McCready, he’s the one we all should be glorifying.

I agree to an extent, but would you say the same about Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison or Layne Staley?

And yes, we should all bow down to Sir Mike McCready.
