Pearl Jam Quick Hits: Mike McCready on Crohn’s, Eddie Vedder and the Oscars, Brad & Green River
Pearl Jam may be resting up, but it’s members are keeping pretty active.
Let’s start with guitarist Mike McCready who will be on HealthTalk.com to discuss Crohn’s Disease tomorrow, October 9, at 7 p.m.
Frontman Eddie Vedder has had some of his tracks from Into The Wild were submitted to the Academy Awards. The tracks selected were “Guaranteed”, “No Ceiling”, “Society” and “Rise”.
Guitarist Stone Gossard will be reuniting with his band on the side, Brad, for two shows. One will take place in New York City on October 17 for a benefit show for Huntington’s Disease of America, go here for more info. Brad will also do a show in Seattle on October 19.
Speaking of reunions, Stone and Jeff Ament will be rejoining Mark Arm for a Green River one off show. Prior to Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney and Pearl Jam there was Green River. The reunion will be to celebrate Sub Pop’s 20th Anniversary. There are no exact details just yet, but it should be in Seattle next summer.

I have not thought of Green River in years. Wow. I also had no clue (of course) that Sub Pop is coming up on their 20th. I am so old
If they have a big Seattle bash I’m gonna have to go. It would be a crime not to go since I’m only living three or so hours away. I’ll bet it’ll be great.
I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, I’m so jealous that you live in the Northwest.
This show has to be great, I can’t wait to find out what other bands are going to pop up. So many bands at one point were there.
