In 2003 Pearl Jam released a double-disc collection of b-sides and rarities called Lost Dogs. This was a very good thing, however, there still were a couple of tracks missing. Here’s a list of some of the Lost Dogs of Lost Dogs.

Crazy Mary: Originally recorded for the Sweet Relief benefit album for the song’s writer/performer Victoria Williams. The studio version is ok, they have done some spectacular live versions since though. If you really want the studio version you may have to do some hunting.

Leatherman: This neat and catchy song ,based on a vagabond in the Hudson River area during the early 1800’s, can be found on the Given To Fly single. Sometimes during concerts Leatherman is part of the “man trilogy”, with Betterman and Nothingman. You can find this at AllofMp3.com.

Long Road & I Got Shit (aka I Got Id): These two tracks were featured on the Merkinball EP, which was the companion to Neil Young’s Mirrorball. In 1995 PJ and Young teamed up to record the Mirrorball album and also these two tracks. Since then Long Road has appeared in different versions, including the reworked version found on the Dead Man Walking soundtrack, and I Got Id on Rearviewmirror. I’ve Got A Feeling: This Beatles cover appears on one the Alive singles and it’s an awesome cover. I apologize for not having a link, but trust me, it’s out there.

Angel: One of many songs found on Pearl Jam’s Christmas singles. This song sounds different than most other Pearl Jam songs, maybe it’s because of the vocals from Eddie. It could have been a nice addition to Lost Dogs. Check back for a surprise regarding Angel and other Christmas singles.

Girl, Goat & I’m Still Here: These songs were never released and ,from what I’ve read, may have never been intended to be heard. Girl and Goat were Mookie Blaylock demos and I’m Still Here was found on promos for Lost Dogs. You can find Goat & Girl here, as well as some other goodies.
