One of the trials of blogging involves finding a rhythm to blog in. If you want your blog to succeed, you have to keep it updated on a regular, consistent basis. I try to blog at least once a day - in a perfect world, I’d be blogging 3 times a day. However, after long nights out on the town, it’s hard to get up the next day and get a post up.

Pearl Jam - Yield

When spring blooms I have a yearning to put on Pearl Jam’s Yield album. It’s probably my favorite PJ album. From start to finish it’s an awesome album. I love to roll down the windows in my car, blast Yield and cruise around. PJ recorded the sessions and released it on dvd. It’s called Single Video Theory and is a must have for all PJ fans.

Pearl Jam - Covers

One thing that I love about Pearl Jam is the covers that they bust out. They have an endless supply that keeps growing. I respect them for honoring artists that have influenced them and also just to goof off at times. The band is so constant with covers that some of us could easily believe that several of these covers are actually Pearl Jam originals.

Pearl Jam - Unemployable

Last May Pearl Jam released an awesome self-titled album that really, well, rocked. One of the most memorable songs from the album wasn’t even a single, and with some powerful lyrics reminds me of those who barley get the bills paid on time, and the hell that you go through trying to keep food on the table.

Pearl Jam - MTV Unplugged

Back on March 16, 1992, Pearl Jam tapped an episode of MTV Unplugged. The acoustic renditions of Alive, Even flow, State of Love and Trust and Rocking in the Free World are surprisingly interesting. But, their versions of Black and Porch are classic. Many of us probably remember seeing Eddie spinning on top of his chair and writing “Pro Choice” down his arm during this version Porch.

For the past few years, Pearl Jam has been the official band for the month of May. Something to do with sun, spring, beers, and crunchy guitars that make the world a better place. To celebrate, we’re officially kicking off Pearl Jam month with perhaps their most recognized hit, “Alive”. Readers who love Pearl Jam are encouraged to send us any requests or comments, as we’ll be doing a PJ-related post everyday ’till the end of the month. Haters can send any comments are way as well (although without good reason, don’t expect to get published!). Stay tuned as we showcase our favorite songs, concerts, and moments; we’re bound to give you something you’ve never heard before!

Word on the street is that Velvet Revolver, the rock supergroup fronted by the Stone Temple Pilot himself Scott Weiland featuring Slash and the rest of the Guns N Roses (minus Axl), will be touring this summer with none other than 90’s rock legends Alice In Chains (RIP Layne).

Philadelphia TLA No More

If you happen to be looking around for upcoming concerts, you may notice a new venue name in Philly. No, Ticketmaster did not make an error. The corporate monopoly that is LiveNation (aka Clear Channel, who owns Ticketmaster) choose to rename the legendary TLA to the Fillmore Philadelphia. That’s right, the same Fillmore that is its own legend in San Francisco.

Every breath you take you hear news about another band reuniting. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard it all. But, let’s look at the hit and miss reunions of 2007.

The Police.
This is the concert event of the year. Did anyone actually think that these guys would put aside their differences? If you have the cash, you should go to the show. Let’s also not forget that up and coming band, the Fratellis, will be supporting.
