Ah yes, Stone Gossard, one of PJ’s founding fathers. Hopefully, everyone saw the Jeff Ament post, so you should already know about Green River, Mother Love Bone, Singles, etc. However, I did forget to mention that Green River was fronted by Mark Arm of Mudhoney fame.

Stone is obviously a huge part of Pearl Jam, besides being an underrated guitarist. He wrote the music for 8 of the 11 tracks on Ten. He’s also written or co-written the tracks such as:

Stone also does some back up vocals and has even taken lead vocals on Mankind and Don’t Gimme No Lip.

Stone also a great side project called Brad and in 2001 he released his solo album Bayleaf.

Let’s also add that Stone is owner of Studio Litho in Seattle where PJ, Soundgarden, Dave Matthews and the Deftones have all recorded music.

So, let’s give Stone a round of applause, because Pearl Jam wouldn’t be the same without him.
