It’s been about a month since my silly Top 10 Forgotten 90’s Rock Band post, but I’m still getting lots of search engine traffic and probably will ’till the end of time. With this traffic I have received hundreds of comments; some are happy “thank yous” and others are downright stupid (”these bands suck”).

Others rant on and on about how bad 90’s rock was, and how all these bands don’t deserve shit and whatnot. Hey, it’s a free country; you’re titled to your opinion and that’s cool. But have an educated opinion please. What’s the point of, well, making a point if no one’s gonna take it seriously? Same goes for me and my posts. I’m not gonna right a post that says “so-and-so band sucks bad” and that’s it. I’ll try to make a point. Not just an ignorant accusation.

I wonder if people feel empowered when they leave comments on a blog. I wonder if they feel badass when they leave a comment like “this band sucks”. I can just see the dude now, telling all his friends about how he left this comment on this guys blog.

Truth is, you’re much more of a badass in my mind if you leave a comment that has something behind it. Some point.

Just a downside of social media, I guess.
