Thanks,So I’m a huge, huge Chris Cornell fan, no matter what he does (Soundgarden-Solo-Audioslave). I was sad to hear about the demise of Audioslave, especially ’cause their latest album really rocked. While doing some snooping the other day, I found our that Chris has a brother Peter has a band called Black Market Radio.
Here’s a quote from Pete about the reason for starting Black Market Radio:
“To take the music back from the digitally enhanced rock stars of the new millennium and return it to it’s formidable stature, properly fueled by anger, testosterone, Jack Daniels and guitars that are a little too F**kin’ loud!”
Check out there site or their MySpace page to hear some of their stuff. Why? ‘Cause they f-cking rock! I know they probably hate to hear it (or really love it), but they sound like Soundgarden. Like “Badmotorfinger” crunchy guitar Soundgarden, which is just what I need in my life right now. There playing more than one show here in Philly in May, and I’ll be damned if I don’t go to each one!

So if you are a Chris Cornell fan, have you him sing Ave’ Maria? If not, I encourage you to dig it up. You would never think of him singing that song as it is such a stretch from his Soundgarden days, but man his voice is incredible on that track!
Oh yeah I have that track! Chris solo stuff is great (he has a new solo album coming out it May I believe)
[…] Just wanted to let you know that one of my favorite new bands, Black Market Radio, just released the re-cut/re-mixed version of there debut album last Tuesday, now called “Better Than A Killer”. […]
