Ning!

Last night I went ahead and created a Ning social network, yet another sigh web2.0 application to add to our web presence. Basically, Ning is a MySpace-ish clone that lets you add a social network that you have lots of control over. Set-up is easy as hell and no programming knowledge is required.

I’ve been thinking about adding a social dynamic here at evolvor for a while now. While not exactly what I’m looking for, it’s the closest thing; if they were smart, they’d make a widget similar to MyBlogLog and essentially take over their territory. That’s if they were smart.

Anyhoo, check out my community to get an idea of what I’m talking about. The cool part is I get to administer the damn thing, so not just anyone can join. I’m looking for cool kats who wanna promote themselves. No spam, no pills, no insurance, and no porn. Unless, of course, you’re real and that’s what you do. Then maybe I’ll consider. Maybe.
