The Google Master Plan
Thanks To Marketing Pilgrim for finding this video about Google’s “master plan”. The reason I’m showing the video is because it does a good job of explaining how big Google is to those of us who aren’t aware. Then end does try to scare you a little, but it does have a point.
Are You Producing Too Much Content ?
Something I’m starting to notice as of late (and a problem I pointed out last year) is certain blogs that are just producing way too much content. That’s right, I said it: too much content.
Now, I probably speak for many in this online marketing biz that spends quite a lot of time reading blogs. Most of us are reading in excess of 150-200 blogs daily. That eats up a lot of time. And when certain rather popular blogs amp up their content production, it becomes even more time consuming.
Smashing Pumpkins 1979
I’m obviously obsessed with early 90’s rock. This we all know. However, one of the more popular bands of the 90’s, the Smashing Pumpkins, has always been off the radar to me.

Thanks to the Igor Branding Blog for pointing to this wonderful video. It pretty much explains in 5 minutes how the web has changed in the past 5 years, in an emotional way that everybody can understand. I can’t wait to show someone who’s new to the web this and see their eyes light up!
The Digg Sugar High: One Week Later
It was a week ago today that one of my sites got seriously “Dugg”; we got around 850 Diggs, made the homepage, and received over 20,000 visitors as a result. This was great obviously, especially for a fairly new site that has been more of a pet project than something we expect to pay the bills with.
Get Your Own Widget! Widgetbox Makes It Easy
The great thing about the blogosphere is everybody gets throw their two cents into the mix, and that usually means different opinions. This much is true when we start talking about all the “widgets” we’ve seen pop up as of late all over the web.
Red Hot Chili Peppers : Wet Sand
One of the things I love about YouTube is the ability to find music. Yeah, they may not be free MP3’s (and I’m not a Kazaa or Limewire user so that’s out of the question), but it’s a great place to find music videos of songs you’re just dying to hear.
Let the Spamming of YouTube Begin! Again!
So earlier this week (or was it last week? I’ve been so busy!) we all learned that Google/YouTube will be paying people for uploading videos to YouTube.
