Becoming More Than Just A Blogger : Create A Brand

It blows my mind how so many in the Internet marketing and advertising industry just don’t have a single clue about marketing or advertising.

What I’m talking about here in particular is building a brand. Now there are different ways of building a brand; the most important way is to provide an awesome product or service and consistently deliver it. Build an audience, build a customer base.

In addition, there’s a superficial element that’s worth spending some time on. The name, the logo, the image.

Many will argue these aren’t important. They can be right. If your product or service is “the shit”, then these things can be overlooked.

I’m gonna bet that not everybody has the best product or service out there, not just yet; it’s something we all have to work on.

So pay attention to little things while building that. Your name and logo.

If you don’t think having these are important, then go ahead with your marketing and advertising efforts.

Yeah. you might get some traffic to your website, and maybe some conversions to sell some products or get some clicks on your ad, but no one’s going to REMEMBER you.

Have a brand name ? One that sticks out a bit, is easy to remember ?

Have a logo, one that displays this brand name?

Do you have a color scheme that’s used over and over again at different places on the web?

You have to BUILD your brand, from scratch. Names, logos, colors, pictures, and of course, strong products and services. Build them together, and someday, you’ll have a strong brand.

It’s taken some trial and error, and I mean that in every aspect. You don’t start out with a perfect service, or a perfect logo. I’m well on my way; how about you?
