If you have a website and are out there blogging, you have something very important on your mind: making money. Some of you may be blogging to promote a product or service, or some of you may be blogging to provide content in the hopes of generating revenue through advertising.
There are a few ways to quickly get ads on your website. The first two are pretty well known and very easy (if you know basic html code, that is) to set up. Even if you aren’t code savvy, a few tutorials should be enough to get them on your site.
A few other third party ad networks exist that are run by smaller advertising and media companies. This is a very small list that we’ll be adding to in the future.
Affiliate Networks exist as well. While most of the above networks use a CPC or CPM ad model, these ads only pay you when someone purchases a product. Their are hundreds of these networks available, again to be covered as we gather more information about them in the future. Here are the big three:
Sponsored Post Networks pay you money when you blog a review about a pre-determined product. You can find out more by checking these networks out:
When looking into these companies, be real with yourself. If your site is not getting any real traffic, don’t plan on making any money. As my sites begin taking off, I’ll be blogging about my own ad network experiences and which works best for me. It seems many start out with most of the above companies but then move to selling ad space in house or joining an exclusive network for successful sites. Any experiences with ad networks, positive or negative, that you recall affecting your blog/site ? Why did you decide to use (or stop using ) a specific network ?
