Via Andy Beal: Google is introducing their much talked about Click-to-Call feature through Google Maps. Do a search, find a business, enter your phone number, and Google connects you. Eventually a Pay-Per-Call ad model will be introduced so every body can play. Cost for this feature will probably be more than an AdWords cost, simply because a person who calls is more likely to purchase than someone who just clicks on a link, in addition to having an actual person to speak with. I bet you 10 bucks we’ll see a rise in 800 voicemail systems where you call a number and reach a pre-recorded message trying to sell you that new “watchamacalit”.
