Via Engadget: Reuters tells us Google CEO Eric Schmidt promises that our cell phone costs will drop dramatically as more advertising money is spent towards the cell phone real estate, as Google has big time plans for it’s AdWords program for mobile search. I’m not sure all of this makes sense, I mean, I still have to pay money for Internet each month. Why would it be different for my cell phone? I’m assuming that Google will partner will service providers and offer them ad revenue in exchange for making Google the default search provider. I’m completely fine with all that, if it’s gonna drive my costs down. Just don’t be storing my conversations with others, Google! (and I know they are thinking about it)
