Okay so everybody and their mom talks about how important the 16-25 “youth” target market is when it comes to the Internet. I hear about this age group so much I wonder if anybody realizes what’s about to happen in the coming years.

Via Fred “A VC”: For being a huge music fan, I still rely on word of mouth to listen to new bands and haven’t done much online other than trying services such as Napster and Rhapsody. However, I think that may change soon with sites like the Hype Machine around, a service that showcases popular music via other music blogs. Heck, maybe it’s time I start a music blog of my own…eureka!

I’ve been a geeky comic book fan ever since I was 10 years old, so I was excited to find Cover Browser, a comic-book cover search engine out together by the guys who publish Google Blogoscoped. Very nice full color images of some great art. This is going to explode, so keep your eye on it!

It allows you to compare salary and location data together to see where the money is at.

Again from Jim Boykin, a post regarding Google’s Age -Linking Factors. Jim talks about how Google may actually document the date a link was found to a website, thus proving that older sites with old links have more of a chance of high search engine rankings than a new site with newer links.

Jim Boykin talks today about an email he received concerning Microsoft Frontpage.

I was unaware that FrontPage was being discontinued, and the article goes into more specifics of that. I say good riddance (even though I learned using FrontPage). I’d rather see someone use Wordpress before building a site in FrontPage.

Just a quick shout out to Google’s new Code Search, which I’m sure will not only help start a future software tool that will change the world, but also get some people in the courtroom as well.

Sorry but I had to take advantage of the name just like they did.

From Aimee Evans: Seems that word of mouth marketing for the most-talked about energy drink Cocaine got their buzz from a $40 courier fee to the New York Times.
