Nothing is as exciting as the development of online audio and video and its relation to your marketing campaign. The continued growth of broadband usage has enabled consumers to watch and download audio and video files, and transfer those files to devices such as the Ipod. What does this mean for you? It means that every business in the world has the ability to create low-budget audio and video advertisements and spread them around online. And who wouldn’t want their own television or radio commercials?
The possibilities here are not only changing the way shows, movies, and commercials are produced, but also they way they are viewed. In the very near future, the way the world watches television and listens to the radio will change drastically. In the Ti-Vo world that we live in now, nobody has the time or patience to sit through and watch commercials they’re not interested in. The future of advertising will focus on providing specific, personalized advertising that the consumer chooses to watch. We’ll have the ability to choose what advertisements we want to see, when we want to see them.
Through online video networks like YouTube, MySpace, and others, we have the ability to share audio and video with the entire world, with the only cost being the production cost. People can subscribe to these and be automatically updated when you release a new file. These “podcasts” are increasing in their numbers, and more and more people are using them to advertise their expertise in field of study. These can be short commercials or longer lectures about a subject.
It’s a sure bet that you’ll be producing your own television commercials to be viewed online a lot sooner than you ever expected. As technology changes, so must you if you wish to compete in this marketplace. And with the entire world taking part, the competition exists now more than it ever has in the history of commerce.
